Each year, the Rotary Club of Metropolitan Portland organizes an international trip open to all. In October 2018, they will travel to Poland and Belarus, visiting Warsaw, Krakow, Grodno, Nowograd, Miru, and Minsk. This year’s trip has special significance to them because they will participate in the Rotary Peace Conference to be held in Biala Podlaska, Poland where they sponsored the host Rotary club. You can be a part of this historic event.
The starting point will be Warsaw. From there, they will travel nearly due south to Krakow, where the itinerary includes:

- Famous writers and thinkers trip
- Optional day trip to Auschwitz
- Salt mines
- Sailing down the Dunajec on traditional rafts
Setting a course to the northeast, they will arrive in Biala Podlaska just in time to participate in this year’s Rotary Peace Conference. Biala Podlaska is just a short drive to Belarus, where they will cross the border to visit:
- Grodno’s old town
- Nowogrod to visit old Polish writers homes
